Lance Camper just announced that it will be participating in the 2019 SEMA show. This year the company will be showcasing the “Altimeter,” a rig built explicitly for the overlanding customer. The truck and camper will be shown in the new Overlanding Experience Section (booth #51409) in the Performance Pavilion.
“With the addition of the Overlanding Experience in the Performance Pavilion, it gives us the ideal venue to showcase how perfect the Lance truck camper is for this lifestyle,” states Bob Rogers, Director of Marketing.
The Altimeter rig features a Lance 855s truck camper mounted to a 2019 Ford F-350 4X4 pickup truck. The 855s floor plan offers numerous amenities such as large holding tanks, standard queen size bed, large wet bath and a dinette slide that adds a ton of interior room while easily accommodating four people to sit or converting into a bed that sleeps two. The unit utilized for the build also touts a custom vinyl wrap, a prototype Truma Aquago water heater, a Truma Varioheat furnace, and a Battleborn lithium battery system.
The camper is placed on a 160-inch wheelbase 2019 SRW 4×4 crewcab Platinum Ford F-350 with a host of upgrades including Hellwig Suspension Products air springs and sway bars, Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension, KC lights, Maxxis Tires, Raceline Wheels, Torklift International support equipment, and Warn Industries bumper and winch. Additional contributions to the project include a Daly Visual wrap and Malo’o rack as well as Maglite, Scosche Industries and Sherptek products, not to mention a wrapped-to-match 2019 Yamaha YXZ.
“This is a fully functional build, using the best yet readily obtainable components from today’s leading manufactures,” adds Rogers. “This rig gets used regularly in the conditions it is designed for and is just a blast to operate”.
Lance has also been using the Altimeter platform to test new technology such as lithium batteries and Truma heating systems, which have been recently introduced at retail.
