SOLD: 2019 Arctic Fox 990 Camper: Four-Season, Onan Generator – $23,750

THIS LISTING HAS SOLD. Looking for a proven four-season truck camper with the space, tank capacity, and equipment needed for serious off-grid travel? This 2019 Northwood Arctic Fox 990 is offered for $23,750 and comes well-equipped with a full-wall slide-out, wet bath, onboard Onan generator, solar, Fox Landing, and the rugged construction that has made the Arctic Fox 990 one of Northwood Manufacturing’s most popular truck campers.

Located in Minnesota, this 990 is reported to be in very good condition and has been used for adventures ranging from mountain country to deserts and beaches. More importantly, the camper has been sealed annually and has no known water leaks. The owner describes it as solid, safe, and ready for its next adventure.

Built for Serious Truck Camping

The Arctic Fox 990 is a large, single-slide camper designed for an 8-foot long-bed truck. With a stated dry weight of approximately 4,500 pounds, this is a substantial camper that requires a properly equipped one-ton truck with sufficient payload capacity.

Construction is equally substantial. Northwood builds the 990 with a thick-wall welded aluminum frame, laminated fiberglass exterior walls, and block-foam insulation. Its crowned, one-piece seamless roof has been maintained annually, while enclosed, insulated, and heated holding tanks and dual-pane windows make the camper particularly well suited for cold-weather and four-season camping.

One of the 990’s standout features is its large full-wall slide, which houses both the booth dinette and refrigerator. Extending the slide creates an impressively roomy interior, yet the camper remains functional when traveling—the kitchen, bathroom, and cabover bed can still be accessed with the slide retracted.

Big Tanks for Extended Trips

For extended boondocking, this Arctic Fox carries an impressive 59 gallons of fresh water, along with 39-gallon gray and 43-gallon black tanks. Propane capacity is a generous 60 pounds, providing plenty of fuel for the furnace, water heater, cooking appliances, and generator.

Off-grid electrical power is supplemented by a solar system and an onboard Onan 2,500-watt propane generator with only about 50 hours of use. Heating is provided by a 20,000-BTU auto-ignition furnace, while an 11,000-BTU rooftop air conditioner handles hot-weather camping. Hot water comes from a 6-gallon DSI gas/electric water heater.

Comfortable Interior

Up front, the cabover sleeping area features a 58×80-inch queen mattress, dual wardrobes, two hamper-storage compartments, and additional storage for clothing and gear. The booth dinette provides seating for meals and relaxing and converts into additional sleeping accommodations when needed. Overall sleeping capacity is approximately four to five people.

The kitchen comes equipped with a Norcold 6-cubic-foot two-way refrigerator with a separate freezer, Furrion three-burner range and oven, microwave, and a deep single-basin stainless-steel sink. The one-piece wet bath includes a porcelain toilet, sink, and shower in an easy-to-clean enclosure.

Other interior amenities include dimmable LED lighting, a 19-inch TV/DVD system, and stereo with surround sound.

Loaded With Factory Equipment

Getting the camper on and off the truck is handled by four heavy-duty Rieco-Titan electric jacks, each rated for 2,500 pounds and controlled by remote. Around back, the popular Fox Landing provides a large, secure step platform for easier entry and exit.

Storage is another strong point. In addition to numerous interior cabinets and compartments, the 990 features Northwood’s convenient Joey basement slide-out storage tray and additional rear-bumper storage.
