PRICE DROP: 2026 Arctic Fox 865 Short-Bed Camper, Off-Grid Beast – $42,000

Not your average truck camper—built for those who would rather camp beyond the hookups than spend their adventures plugged into an RV park.

This nearly new, custom-ordered 2026 Arctic Fox 865 short-bed truck camper has been extensively upgraded for serious off-grid adventures, with over $10,000 invested in electrical, solar, battery, and air-conditioning upgrades alone.

Featuring 800Ah of lithium battery capacity, 800W of rooftop solar with dual 50A solar charge controllers, a 3,000W TBB inverter/charger, a TBB DM1260 DC-to-DC Charger, and an upgraded 16,000 BTU TOSOT heat-pump air conditioner, this camper is equipped to enjoy the freedom of camping without relying on traditional hookups.

Originally custom-ordered and purchased in November 2025, it has approximately 45 nights of use and has been exceptionally well cared for.

Premium Off-Grid Electrical System

  • 800Ah TBB lithium battery bank — two TBB M12-400 400Ah lithium batteries included
  • 800W rooftop solar array — four 200W Future Solutions bifacial solar panels
  • Two independent 50A solar charge controllers
  • TBB 3,000W inverter/charger
  • TBB DM1260 DC-to-DC Charger (60A)
  • Solar and battery monitoring system
  • Inverter capable of operating the upgraded air conditioner
  • Soft-start-equipped air conditioning

The electrical system was professionally upgraded by Future Solutions in Indiana, the company that designed the TBB electrical system for Northwood’s Arctic Fox campers.

The second 400Ah battery, additional solar capacity, and DC-DC charging system were installed in March 2026.

Upgraded Heating & Cooling

The original air conditioner was replaced in March 2026 with a quieter, more efficient TOSOT 16,000 BTU RV air conditioner with heat pump.

This upgraded unit features soft-start capability and can operate from the camper’s 3,000W inverter, subject to battery charge and available power.

Why We’re Selling

We custom-ordered our Arctic Fox with every intention of enjoying it for years to come, and we’ve absolutely loved the freedom and flexibility it provides.

As our travel plans have evolved, we’ve decided to transition to an Airstream travel trailer to accommodate more extensive travel while we both continue working remotely.

The Arctic Fox has been an incredible setup, particularly for off-grid adventures and the ability to pull into places larger RVs simply can’t access. That’s something we’re genuinely going to miss!

Our change in direction creates a great opportunity for someone else to enjoy a nearly new, extensively upgraded camper without the expense and time involved in building out a comparable system.

A Rare Opportunity for Eastern U.S. Buyers

Arctic Fox truck campers can be difficult to find in the eastern United States, with much of the inventory concentrated farther west.

Located in the Charlotte, NC metro area, this camper offers eastern and central U.S. buyers an opportunity to purchase an extensively upgraded Arctic Fox without traveling across the country or arranging expensive long-distance freight.
