Northern Lite to Showcase Overland Campers at SEMA

Canadian-based Northern Lite Truck Campers recently announced that it will be showcasing two Limited Edition truck campers at the 2019 SEMA Show, November 5-8, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For the first time ever, buyers at SEMA will be able to see products and vehicles built specifically for overlanding in the all-new SEMA Overland Experience area in the Performance Pavilion. As part of this inaugural Overland display, a 2020 Northern Lite 8-11EX Wet Bath Limited Edition all-fiberglass truck camper with an overland-ready Ford F-350 FWD pickup truck, will be shown. The Ford truck features a 6-inch BDS Lift Kit, Nitto Ridge Grappler 37×13.5-inch tires, 22-inch Fuel Rims, and Firestone Air Bags.

“We are doing SEMA for brand awareness and to show how our campers would work as an Overland option for customers,” explained Keith Donkin, General Manager of Northern Lite.

“The new Overland Experience showcases a growing trend in the market,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA VP of Events. “With overlanding products, vehicles and education displayed in a centralized location, buyers will gain a comprehensive understanding of what the market entails and how they can build overlanding into their businesses.”

A 2020 Northern Lite 10-2EX CD Limited Edition fiberglass truck camper, mounted on an overland-ready Ford F-350 FWD pickup truck, will also be shown in the Off-Road Section, Upper South Hall at Booth 30275. This truck, like the other, will sport a 6-inch BDS Lift Kit, Nitto Ridge Grappler 37×13.5-inch tires, 22-inch Fuel Rims, and Firestone Air Springs.

For SEMA, Northern Lite will be showcasing new leatherette seating called Black Diamond and Graystokes hardwood cabinets and tables. The Black Diamond leatherette combines a bold red and black pattern that is a significant departure from the traditional upholstery patterns found in most RVs, while the new Greystokes finish borrows from the aesthetics popular in many of today’s modern homes. The contemporary gray color not only lightens up the interior in today’s truck campers, but also provides an increased sense of space.

Manufactured in Kelowna, British Columbia, Northern Lite’s fiberglass clam shell truck campers offer high-quality construction, four-season capability, and carry an industry-leading six-year structural integrity warranty. Northern Lite standard features include premium cabinets, a three-way refrigerator, side and rear awnings, a Suburban Elite Stovetop, S5-Dometic windows, premium LED lighting, and two 100 watt solar panels.

  1. I have the 2016 NorthernLite 10-2 SE mounted on my 2011 F350 Power Stroke Crew Cab 4×4 Dually. Updated suspension with the 4.5 inch Icon Vehicle Dynamics stage 4 and more stout custom rear leaf springs. I’m updating to 35 inch Tires and rims. To extend range I updated stock fuel tank with Titan 57gal tank. I also plan to replace the spare tire under the bed with the Titan 30 gal auxiliary fuel tank. This truck is planned to get the Sherp Tek overland bed system installed. Next step is to add a spare tire carrier system (two tires), such as using two truck bed spare tire winches, relocated to mount two spare tires held up under the rear platform step on the Northern Lite camper. I enjoy reading and look forward to learning from other’s ideas in your articles.
