Billed as the toughest one-day off-road race in the world. The King of the Hammers is the largest off-road race event in North America with over 400 teams and over 50K spectators. The Hammers, taking place each February in Johnson Valley, California, combines desert racing and rock crawling and has over the years expanded from one race to a series of five races held throughout an entire week.
“Talk about a target rich environment! With the exception of the annual Quartzsite gathering in the Arizona desert, rarely will you find more RV’s camping in one spot,” states Bob Rogers, Lance Camper Director of Marketing. “The event was filled with truck campers and toy haulers and we had a blast going from camp to camp in our Lance/ATVdriver Can Am Maverick handing out free Lance swag to the many Lance owners in attendance.”
The Lance/Hellwig Rule Breaker 650 definitely made an impression as it traversed routes certainly untouched by ordinary truck campers. “This is the best event I have ever been to.” Exclaimed Jim Waters, Marketing Coordinator. “Both competitor and attendees definitely take their toys (and their camping) very seriously out here!”
