For sale is a fully-loaded late-2023 Kingstar Camino for only $49,000! Built in Michigan with Kingstar’s exceptional craftsmanship. The camper uses two completely independent diesel heating systems, providing excellent flexibility and redundancy. The Truma Combi can heat both the cabin and water using diesel, 120V electricity, or a combination of both. When connected to shore power—or when operating through the inverter—you can heat the camper without consuming diesel.
Diesel consumption is remarkably low. Cooking three meals per day uses approximately 6.5 gallons over four months. During winter camping with temperatures around 10F at night and 35F during the day, I averaged approximately three gallons per week while maintaining a comfortable 72F inside. Either heater alone can comfortably heat the camper to approximately 80F, and the camper is exceptionally well insulated for true winter camping.
The 800W solar array and 600Ah battery bank allowed me to live off-grid for approximately two years without ever needing shore power. Running two refrigerators, Starlink and computer charging, I typically woke up with about 89 percent battery remaining. On sunny days the batteries generally returned to full charge by noon in winter and around 10 a.m. during summer.
Kingstar lists the dry weight at approximately 3,760 pounds, before the tower pack and ski lockers. This is a long-bed camper.
The camper is currently located in Grand Junction, Colorado.
A similarly equipped new camper currently retails for approximately $93,500.
