Tern Overland Releases New Arctic Breeze 12V Roof Fan

Tern Overland, a leading manufacturer of recreational vehicle doors, windows, and vents, just released its first 12 volt roof fan called the Arctic Breeze.

“The Tern Team is excited about the new Arctic Breeze roof fan,” said Aimee Higgins, Tern Overland Owner and CEO. “Our customers wanted a simpler, more cost effective rooftop solution and we provided it. The Arctic Breeze is a great way to add ventilation and lighting to your camper, while giving your rig a more open and airy feel.”

Tern Overland’s new Arctic Breeze has it all. Not only does it feature a 10-speed, whisper-quiet, two-way fan, it also boasts a tinted acrylic dome, gas struts, an accordion-style blind and bug screen, and two 12 volt LED light bars. The acrylic dome has the ability to operate in three opening positions: 2 degrees, 10 degrees and 60 degrees.

The Arctic Breeze is easy to use and smart. It can be controlled manually by either using the LCD control panel or by using the included remote. The fan also provides automatic temperature control. In the “auto” Mode, the fan adjusts based on the indoor temperature. If the temperature is 2 degrees higher than the set point, the fan opens the cover and exhausts air. If it’s 2 degrees lower, the fan closes the cover and shuts off.

The Arctic Breeze 12 volt fan is electrically efficient for use in any RV. At full load, the fan consumes only 20 watts and only 4 watts for full lighting, and can be operated in multiple opening modes. Owners can choose to operate the fan in manual, remote, or AUTO opening for maximum convenience. The fan even features an anti-pinch function which prevents accidental pinching by the top cover and fan.

Tern Overland’s Arctic Breeze 12 volt fan is well-made. The tinted dome is made of an ASA thermoplastic, which is more resistant to weathering, heat, chemicals, and UV radiation than ABS plastic.

The Arctic Breeze fits the standard 14×14-inch rooftop opening and is adaptable to varying roof thicknesses.

Like all Tern Overland products, the Arctic Breeze 12 volt roof fan comes with a one-year warranty, giving the buyer additional peace of mind.

Tern Overland’s Arctic Breeze looks like a winner. We’ve already installed one in our 1967 Avion C10 truck camper and it works great. Outside, the tinted, aerodynamic dome also compliments the look of the camper in a major way. Look for a review on this amazing, 12 volt fan soon.
