New Scout Kenai Pop-Up Camper Offers More Plus Better View

Adventurer Manufacturing, a leading force in the truck camper industry, just released the Scout Kenai Pop-Up. Compared to the Scout Yoho and Scout Olympic Pop-Ups released earlier, the Kenai offers more space, more comfort, and an enhanced off-grid capability, while at the same time staying true to Scout’s values of simplicity, lightweight design, and performance.

With a floor length of 7 feet 7 inches and a weight of 1,313 pounds, the new Kenai Pop-Up is built for full-size, long-bed trucks. Any full size truck with an 8-foot bed can safely haul the Kenai Pop-Up, including half-ton trucks like the Ford-F-150, 3/4-tons trucks like the Chevy Silverado 2500HD, and one-ton pickups like the Ram 3500.

The Kenai Pop-Up is perfect for overlanding, off-road exploration, and more. With its low profile and lower center of gravity, the Kenai offers numerous benefits over the hard-side camper, including less wind resistance, better fuel economy, and better performance off-road. And unlike traditional hard-side campers, the Kenai Pop-Up can be stored in most residential garages.

The Kenai’s floorplan is large and multifunctional and sleeps up to four. It features a large and spacious bunk that measures 53×80-inches, and a large, L-shaped seating area and dinette that measures 35.5×70-inches. The L-shaped seating area and dinette easily transitions into two comfortable beds at night that can sleep one adult or two children. It’s a flexible space for a flexible lifestyle, and a convenient office on the road too.

Continuing with Scout’s reputation for quality and innovation, the Kenai Pop-Up features a vacuum-infused roof delivering both strength and performance with a seamless, watertight design. Its lightweight, marine-grade finish enhances durability and provides a sleek and modern look.

Like all Scout pop-ups, the Kenai features Scout’s patent-pending easy-lift mechanism that makes setting up and breaking camp easy. No power is needed—just a smooth, controlled operation from a single location, perfect for solo travelers. And unlike bulky electric lifts or complex locking systems, Scout’s user-friendly design keeps things simple. The spacious camper is 91.2 inches tall inside with the top popped-up.

The pop-up features Scout’s premium S2 Fabric that is now available in two colors: Sage Green and an iron oxide Canyon Red. Designed for both durability and comfort, this ultra-soft, stain-resistant fabric stands up to the elements while adding a personal touch to your home-on-wheels.

A large benefit on the Scout pop-up design are the views. The Kenai’s soft-side windows provide panoramic views and a seamless connection to the outdoors, all while being built to withstand any kind of weather. Made from coated 300D honeycomb ripstop fabric, the windows are fully waterproof, UV-resistant, and mold-resistant, ensuring durability in any condition. With three versatile layers—a bug screen, clear zip-up window, and fabric privacy layer—you get the perfect blend of protection, visibility, and comfort.

Built with sustainability in mind, the Scout Kenai Pop-Up features bamboo countertops and durable, resin-reinforced recycled paper cabinets that are designed for functionality and a lighter environmental footprint. Everything is water and stain-resistant, food-safe, and perfect for rugged trips in off-road, off-grid environments.

The largest Scout pop-up yet, the Kenai is designed to provide more room for gear, essentials, and comfortable living on the road. With 7 feet 7 inches of floorspace, it offers an open, spacious layout that allows for greater mobility inside the camper. To complement its expanded interior, the Kenai Pop-Up features the most storage options of any Scout model, including an interior wardrobe, open-concept shelving, and additional gear lockers. This smart storage system keeps everything organized and easily accessible, ensuring you have a clutter-free living space.

If your plans includes use off-grid, the Scout Kenai has you covered with three ways to charge the portable lithium battery—shore power, solar, and a DC-DC alternator charger.

Standard features include a 4.9 gallon portable water tank, a 200 watt solar power system, and an Expion360 132 amp hour portable lithium battery power station, a 12 volt roof vent, LED lights, and USB charging stations. Options include a propane cooktop, a 500 watt inverter, a Dometic CFX3 55L DC refrigerator-freezer with WiFi, a Kammok Crosswing Awning, a diesel heater, and a portable Dometic 2.6 gallon toilet.

The pop-up also has an optional “portaledge.” This 24-inch slide-out bunk extension expands the bed to 77×80-inches, adding 60 percent more sleeping space with a redesigned, hassle-free setup—just slide and sleep, no straps required.

The list price of the pop-up is $32,990.
