Kingstar Campers revealed its brand-new K9 KRUZR and its 2026 upgrades at the 2026 Quarzsite RV show. Kingstar CEO, Marcus Niemela, rolled out two flatbed, flatback campers to showcase these new offerings: a KRUZR 10, sporting the company’s upgraded command center seats, and a brand-new K9 KRUZR 6 featuring a kennel for dogs. There’s no doubt about it, Kingstar’s new K9 KRUZR puts the “wow” in bow-wow. To explain what’s new at Kingstar Campers in 2026, Marcus was kind enough to answer a few questions.
Thanks, Marcus, for talking with us. What’s new from Kingstar in 2026?
Marcus Niemela: Lots! The K9 KRUZR models. We offer one for the CA60 chassis which is a KRUZR 6 habitat with a 26-inch kennel and two CA84 chassis models, which are a KRUZR 8 with a 36-inch kennel, and KRUZR 10 with a 26-inch kennel.
Our entire KRUZR lineup gets double the lighting in the ceiling, and beautiful down lighting under the kitchen counter top that casts a soft light for those midnight walks to the bathroom. We are also offering an under-counter mounted kitchen sink, leatherette interior walls, a fully-enclosed hanger closet for the sleeper bunk, and a larger convection/air fryer/microwave oven.
Our standard build for solar, battery and water capacity has grown big time as well with 880 watts of solar, 920 amp hours of lithium and up to 75 gallons of fresh water!
Also, we offer optional, full power command seats for the command center in the KRUZR 10 only
Tell us more about your new K9 KRUZR?
Marcus Niemela: It features a built-in kennel or a garage if you don’t have pets. It is closed cell insulated just like the coach with lighting. The space has Truma heat, doors on either side, a camera, and a water spigot and a drain for an easy wash out. It’s great for pets and gear!
Very cool. We love the new electric command center seating. Please tell us more about the chairs and what they’re made of?
Marcus Niemela: The upgraded chairs can be leather or leatherette. They come with heat, ventilation, they are power recline adjustable, and have a massage bar in the seat and in the lumbar. They also have a leg rest, a USB port, and an adjustable head rest. We provide our own linear actuator that operates east and west and they also have their own platform where they able go in and out. They also swivel. You can look out the window while you’re working or watching the sunset, you can also configure them face-to-face like a standard dinette for meals.
For 2026 you are introducing a number of upgrades. Can you tell us more about them?
Marcus Niemela: For 2026 we are offering a larger convection microwave and fryer, and extra row of ceiling lights, a recessed kitchen sink, a single burner induction cooktop, leather walls, and a passenger side cabover closet. We are always on the quest for meaningful configurations, models and accessories, but for 2026 we wanted to put a bow tie on the little things that our customers asked for. Form and function is top of the list for our customers. Additionally, for the KRUZR 10 we will be offering a coffee station with a built-in area to house a beautiful Breville coffee machine.
Kingstar is truly on the cutting edge of innovation. We are impressed. Where do these ideas come from? Customer feedback? Yourself? From your team?
Marcus Niemela: Your question provided the answer. It’s all the above! I am using our product about 200 days a year delivering campers and attending shows. I’m using this product as a critical customer. What would I want or want to change as a customer as well as hearing our customer base? This information is brought to our team meetings and implemented by the Kingstar team.
Your team is doing an amazing job. What is your best selling model to date?
Marcus Niemela: The KRUZR 10, hands down!
Is it true that the Camino series is being discontinued?
Marcus Niemela: Yes, that’s true. Everyone is bypassing the Camino and buying a KRUZR model.
We are looking forward to having Kingstar at next month’s truck camper rally? What models will you be bringing?
Marcus Niemela: We hope to have the same KRUZR 10 Command Center and the K9 KRUZR 6. The Truck Camper Adventure Quartzsite Rally is the highlight of our show season!
