Hi, recently I’ve discovered that my Warn 12,000lb winch is no longer working. As far as I’ve assessed it, I think it’s because of a bad contactor due to age and mud build up over time. It’s time to replace it but I would not want to buy the same brand of winch. I’m looking one that won’t go below 12,000lbs and any higher is also an option. I’ve searched and came to know about this review https://motoringcrunch.com/reviews/best-winches-reviews/. I want to get real people feedback as I’m leaning on getting a Smittybuilt 17,500lb. capacity. Any feedback is much appreciated.
I’ve been using a Rincon brand winch (17500) for years on my TC with very little trouble. It’s not the fastest winch on the market (358.4:1) but has been reliable and a wireless controller can be bought.
