When the camper is off the truck, who uses what on the tailgate, short of remounting the OEM tailgate? Looking for the fewest holes to drill. I’d like to have something back there for lumber yard trips. Etc.

My tailgate is off my truck from spring to late fall. The only thing I use if needed is a load-lock across my bed if I need to hold anything in.

Before we picked up our new Northstar Laredo we had to leave our tailgate at home. All the goods that normally went in the TC were moved into a large waterproof pickup bed vinyl zipper bag and a tailgate net which attached to 4 footman’s loops at the rear of the truck. Large 1k pound ratchet straps were criss crossed over the bag. We drove 1600 miles this way from N. CA. to IA.
