ParticipantSo while trying to get the tailgate off the truck I got the bottom part out sliding it from left to right. The problem was when I rested the extremely heavy tailgate on the bumper it fell forward into the top latches and it locked. I tried the key fob and the switch in the center console and I do not hear any clicking like it is getting power or unlocking. I checked the one 30 amp fuse for endgate and it appeared fine. All the camera wiring underneath is attached and I ensured I had a backup camera to verify. I have contacted both the dealership and GM and have not received an answer. What is concerning is since the bottom is not attached that driving it would make the tailgate bounce on the lower mounting points and possibly fall off. If this was not the case I would just take it to the dealer that is 20 miles away. Any advice in getting the locks unlocked would be appreciated. Any other thoughts on losing all you cameras and comments once the bottom harness is disconnected. Not really built with the Truck Camper in mind.

ModeratorLouis, you need to go to one of the many Chevy/GM truck facebook pages or websites.
You will get a lot more hits on your woe.
Yours looks newer than 2017, so there is a Chevy/GM truck site just for you.
