ParticipantHi all
Am hoping to have Hallmark build us a new pop up truck camper.
Hadn’t planned on bringing a generator with us, however we already own a Honda 2000, and if we had it with us for occasional use, it would mean we could get installed on the pop up truck camper – a little less solar, and a little less battery. We like to boondock.
Hallmark offers a re-design of the back end – with higher jacks, and 2 storage compartments…. that a Honda 2000 should fit into one of them, and also a slightly better angle of departure.
Does anyone here have this option? Thoughts?
also… does anyone happen to know if those rear brake lights are legal (conforming) to Canadian safety standards? I’d hate to have an issue if we are driving in Canada. :-/
thanks
J.

ParticipantI have a Hallmark, but mine is an 04 model so I do not have the bins. I do have a thought however and it is this. I am a solar owner, but fabbed a box for the back of my Hallmark for my Yamaha 2000. I would encourage you to make a genny your priority and solar second. A genny never asks you about the weather or tells you where to park. I never makes you take down and put up solar panels. It just charges your batteries when you ask it too.
My two cents 🙂

ParticipantI love this idea but honestly question if my Forest River popup tc would support a 10 gal jerry can lol. Best of luck!

ParticipantI’m having a Phoenix Mini Max custom ordered with a vented compartment for my Honda 2200i so I wouildnt need any skirting with boxes on the outside. Costs between the two mfgs were almost identical, but I have more options with Phoenix. I heard Canadian rules are quite strict, so you might ask to have a second red stoplight added to the ones there already. Can’t be too careful. https://www.ontarioticket.com/motor-vehicle-lighting.php
