First post here, thanks for activating me Mike. I’m wondering if anyone has ever taken a dinette overhead cabinet and converted it to a bunk in a camper that didn’t come with that option.
I’m looking at an Eagle Cap 800 lite for my first truck camper, and the only option its missing is the fold down bunk which I really need. It looks like you could just take the cabinet apart and add a piano hinge and a couple ledgers on the walls to hold it?
My other choice is a 2012 Wolf Creek 850 but the tie down issue has me leery of it. Plus I like the smaller profile of the Eagle Cap after reading Nolan Sturgeon’s review of it.
Thanks!
