I am in the process of getting an order put in for a truck camper from Rugged Mountain. As they are custom I can request many different things in the build. I am going with a lithium battery setup of probably 500 amp hours along with 540 watts of solar. I will have a Norcold compressor fridge and I am wondering if it should be wired 12volt or wired through the invertor (3000 watt invertor) at 110 volt. We will not have an onboard generator but will probably take along a 2000 watt portable Yamaha.
Just have it operate on DC. When you’re plugged-ink it will run on the batteries that are being recharged. That’s what we’ve been doing for years.
