If you are looking at adding a solar charger/battery monitor, Bogart is running a package deal on a charger, monitor, shunt, battery temperature sensor and wiring for $306 until December 20. This system is arguably does the best job of charging batteries because it does amp-hour counting and charges the batteries as recommended by the manufacturer.

This is the setup I have been using for the last two years and I am very happy with it. I have this system connected to 360 watts of solar panels and two 6v Crown 235 amp-hour batteries.
