ParticipantHello everyone, need to buy 2 deep Cycle AGM Group 31’s for my new 2018 Laredo SC. Will have 160 watts of solar on the roof and a portable 100 solar; will be boondocking quite ofter in the southwest (live in Las Vegas area). Any recommendations as to brands, vendors, web sellers would be appreciated. Thanks.

KeymasterLifeline AGMs are the best. Been using them for several years now.

ParticipantThanks Mike, do you use the GPL-31T or the GPL-31XT?

KeymasterNeither. I’ve been using the 6 volt golf cart AGMs (GPL-4CT), they provide me with 220 amp hours.

ParticipantThanks again, glad I got your reply before ordering. It’s also good knowing they’ll fit since you’ve got the same TC.

ParticipantRichard, here is a little more input. First I use 12 and 6 volt battery’s in a variety of applications. I also advocate the use of twin or quad 6 volt battery’s where ever possible. One thing you should be aware of when using two 6 volts is the problem you will encounter if for any reason one battery fails. Nothing in your RV will work on one 6 volt battery. When using 12 volts this will not become a problem. The quality of Life Line’s will greatly reduce this potential problem, but it will not eliminate it. Investing in quality battery’s is a big expense, make sure you understand all the pro’s and con’s of each application before you click on that mouse.
