ParticipantRecent purchase of 2021 F350 DRW. Purchased Lance 850 out of state. I measured top of cab @CL of crown – CL of cab. Wondering if any one knows measurement of Lance 850 from bottom of camper to bottom of cab over for clearance or whether or not from owning similar setup will clearance pose an issue.
Also any issues with clearance to rails and truck camper.
Thank in advance

ModeratorHere’s some of the specification from the Lance website for the 850, also what year is your Lance 850. Unless ford has change their bed sides they should still be taller at the tailgate like my 2007 F250.

Thanks for link. I have their brochure from 2020 if cabover dimension is what I am after I might have an issue. I am measuring 46″ from top of stiffener bead in bed to crown of roof on cab of truck @ CL and 3′ 2″ puts me at a deficit of 11″.
Can that be correct? Stranger yet is seller measurement off the camper from bottom of camper to skin on cabover is 49″.
I’d be surprised if Lance cabover dimension changed that much from 2019 to 2020/2021?
heeeeeeeeeeelp! lol

ParticipantContact your seller and have him measure from the bottom of the camper to the lowest point on the side where it overhangs the truck bed. Then have him measure from the bottom of the camper bottom again to the front overhead lowest point. Then measure your truck bed to the top side rail and your all set.
Example I have a 2019 Ford F350 CCLB SRW with a 2019 Arctic Fox 990 camper and all I have in the bed is a 3/8″ horse stall mat. No issues at all. Don’t have any lights or antenna’s on truck roof so that helps. Good luck and enjoy - April 9, 2021 at 18:55 #50213

In my post above yours I did just that. Can’t imagine it being that much different.
Brochure states Cabover -3′ 2″ or 38″ per 2020 brochure and Link provided by member above.
Seller is saying his 2019 is 49″ from belly of camper to skin of cabover
confused emoji inserted lol

ParticipantIm guessing the 3’2″ or 38″ is INSIDE of the sleeping area height and nothing to do with what you want to know. Just measured my camper and it’s 22″ from the bottom to the bottom of the side that overhangs the bedrail. Then I have 48″ from the bottom to the underside of the front overhang. Truck has no antenna’s or lights on roof and just a rubber mat in the bed.

ModeratorYont, just got off the phone with a locale Lance dealer and they said there’s no problem with mounting that 2019 Lance 850 on a truck up to 2019 truck. After that you my need to use some 2×4 to increase the height, also the Lance dealer state that the bottom of the camper to the bottom of the cab was about 50 inches but beware of possible rubbing of the tail lights.
