Thanks Jefe — we’re happy to hear that truck camping remains a viable option. Sounds like we enjoy the same sort of places for camping, especially along the 395 corridor.
It’s been a while since we ventured into the Black Hills/Yellowstone area. If you need a campground outside Yellowstone on the west side, try Baker’s Hole, just north (about 3 miles) of West Yellowstone. Nice Forest Service campground on the Madison River with electric h/u. Can’t speak to boondocking in that area since when we went through there we were in our full-time RV days and that diesel was picky about tight spots.
