My wife and I are traveling coast to coast (East to West) to Portland, OR for our daughter’s wedding in August. We set out July 10th and have been on the road for 4 days now. It is very pleasant so far. We boondocked each night: Once at a Harvest Hosts location in NY, Second Night at a Walmart near Eire, PA; Third night at the RV/MH Museum in Elkhart, Indiana; fourth night another Walmart in Madison, Iowa. Getting gas has been no problem, nor has going into stores to shop. We wear masks and use plenty of hand sanitizer. Even had lunch indoors at a restaurant iwith friends in Rochester, NY. We had to sign in at the hostess station with name, address, email address, phone number, and the current date (So they could track us down in case someone comes down with the virus on the day we dined there). We had to wear masks as we entered and anytime we got up to move around the restaurant (Like going to the bathroom), but once seated at our tables we could take them off. Traffic has been wonderfully light except for going through Chicago, with stop and go traffic, which felt like rush hour at any big city. We are in Fairfield, Iowa visiting friends and will stay at a Harvest Hosts winery tonight.
