Mike,

Given how new our camper is, I really question the quality of the Happijac components. I am sure if I call them, they will tell me rust and pitting are a “lack of maintenance issue”, but I hate to think I am going to have to focus more time on waxing.

What I find disturbing is manufacturers continue to market things, but fail to acknowledge they are not built to meet the rigors of their intended use. These jacks go down the road, they are always outdoors, or at least most of the time. If that is where they live, they should be built to that environment is my opinion.

I would switch brands, but that is an expensive route to go down. 🙁
