I put a camper on my truck and the Ram Uconnect 360 view is useful to me, even without the tailgate. The reason is the virtual satellite view you get. The sides and front show up as if you are looking from above and it gives you clearance views that the mirrors can’t fully capture alone. It helps confirm what I might or might not be seeing in the mirrors.
What I haven’t figured out yet, and hope to soon, is to find a way to make an aftermarket camera show up in place of the tailgate when it is off.
