The Truma Combi came out in 2007 in Europe, and it is my understanding that they are in about 90% of RVs sold in europe, and have been for a good long time.
Yes it is a relatively new product to the USA but is supposedly tried and true engineering.
I believe some big American RV manufacturers are now using the Truma Combis on some models.
I spoke at length with a local repair technician who works for Truma, and he said that 90% of issues are fixed over the phone…. plus the units have a very low failure rate over the lifetime of the product.
and luckily we live quite close to a main Truma repair center, so we are covered that way. 🙂
