Shawn, Good to read a “not-a-salesman’s” view of the LiPo’s under different circumstances. The whole thing is a non-starter (no pun here) for me at the price they are touting. My tried and true; everything works; old Lance complete with 200 Watts of solar, one group 27 battery (the same model and size as the pair ganged as 3 under the hood of the truck), and new electronics is worth less than the set up of LiPo’s as in Mike’s photo. Maybe in my next life.
Since the install of solar, we still use power in a conservative manner, and the whole power system has never let us down. It has simply been plug and play. We have no rooftop AC, no microwave oven, and use the heater only in the morning upon arising.
