For Sale: 2022 Ford F350 Dually – 2019 Eagle Cap 1165 Truck Camper ($110,000)

My wife and have camped off and on in tents and pop-up campers, but most of our camping was done in our home state of Kentucky. When we both retired we realized there was a lot of beautiful states that we had not visited. Now the hunt for camper to make our journey was on. But we had a few problems on the choice. We wanted something nimble so we could boondock and camp in campgrounds. We did not want to tow a car behind the motorhome. My wife wanted only some of comforts of home, so the decision was made that we would purchase a Coachman Freelander, a small Class C motorhome mounted on a Ford Transit 350 frame.

We switched from the motorhome to a truck camper soon after staying at a Tennessee campground. We saw a pickup truck pull in with a strange looking thing in the bed of of the truck. It said “Eagle Cap” on the side, and it was huge! After the Eagle Cap owner picked a spot in campground, we watched every move he made. First, he took it off the truck with the jacks made on the unit, then we watched as this thing started to unfold on all three sides. Once had completed  setting up, we had to ask to see inside. He was very nice and invited in to take a look. Our problems were solved, it fitted every category we wanted. We finished our bucket list this February 2024, a West trip that included the Truck Camper Adventure Quartsize Rally on the BLM land. If you have never attended one of their rallies need to put on your bucket list.

We love our Ford F350 and Eagle Cap 1165 but it’s time to sell both. I am 77 years old and my wife is 74 and think of slowing down a little, this camping takes a lot of energy.  If you are looking for room inside you won’t believe and how much there is. We think you will enjoy this rig if you decide to purchase it. We had the truck serviced at the dealer and took good care of the camper, it’s still almost like new (no pets, smoker or kids).

Options added to camper include a Wineguard Air 360+ antenna, WiFi Ranger Osprey internet router, StableCamper (to keep camper stable when off truck), and a new awning that we installed in May 2024.

The Ford F-350 dually truck was ordered with equipment to carry heavy loads in bed with a payload of 7,400 pounds in bed of truck. The truck has a 7.3L Godzilla gasoline engine, power sliding windows, the Truck Camping Package, Dual Batteries, heavy rubber mats, two 397 amp alternators. Added Equipment includes Torklift Tie Downs, Torklift FastGuns, the CamperCradle (for easier loading), and the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System (for severe heavy loads).

Both truck and camper have extended warranties that I can transfer over to new owner. The rig is located in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Contact Don at either 502-931-6617 or 502-931-6618 or via email at for more information or to schedule a showing.
