SOLD: 2019 Ford F450 – 2020 Eagle Cap 1160 ($149,000)

The Ultimate in Glamping in an Eye-Catching Package!

2020 Eagle Cap 1160 with a Custom Wrap

We actually purchased this camper from a lovely couple after finding it on Truck Camper Adventure Magazine just over a year ago.  We love it—so many adventures, and it has always been ready for us in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Sadly, we sold our home last year, moved into a condo, and are no longer able to park this just outside at the ready. It’s just not the same having it in storage, and we would prefer that it find new owners who are able to take full advantage of all that it has to offer.

This camper is fully-loaded and has a custom mountain and forest scene wrap that sets it apart from the boring stock look. It has a side entrance and two slides, the left side, wall slide for the dinette/refrigerator and the rear slide for a wardrobe and two theater style recliners with swing-away tables. The floor space in the main living area is huge for a truck camper and combined with the above average storage, both inside and out, really helps make this floor plan very easy to live with for longer periods of time. Another impressive feature is the largest dry bath in the industry that allows for a good-sized shower stall with a dual layer skylight that increases headroom. The factory toilet has been upgraded to a porcelain toilet complete with a soft closing seat/lid.

Featuring four-season capability with an R19 roof, R13 walls, R22 in the floor and double glazed windows. A 30,000 BTU ducted furnace provides the warmth while a Coleman low profile air conditioner helps to keep it cool when required, a digital wall thermostat controls both functions. There’s a 66 gallon fresh water tank, a 41 gallon black, and a 41 gallon grey in the heated basement. The factory three-speed Fantastic Fan was upgraded to a Maxxair 7500 thermostatically controlled 10 speed fan with remote and power open/close rain hood, it works extremely well maintaining a comfortable temperature without using A/C. When not connected to shore power (15 or 30 amps), 100 watts of solar feeding dual premium 6 volts by Rolls Battery supply the necessary power. As back up, a Cummins/Onan 2500 watt LPG generator with remote start and less than six hours of run time is at the ready. Two 30-pound propane tanks supply the fuel and a quick connect coupler for an outside BBQ.

The kitchen features soft closing drawers, overhead cabinets, a two-way 8 cu ft refrigerator with a separate freezer, a microwave, a three-burner cook top w/residential grate, a range hood with fan and LED lighting, a drinking water faucet w/filter, an oven, a dual under-mount residential stainless steel sink, and a high neck faucet with a pull-out sprayer. The dinette features large under seat drawers and outside storage (lockable and accessible from outside only) plus the table folds easily into a bed suitable for two (smaller) people. A 32-inch LCD TV is mounted to the rear-facing wall above the kitchen counter/sink on a swing-out bracket with a Jensen AM/FM/CD/DVD/Bluetooth/HDMI multi-zoned entertainment unit mounted below the counter facing the dinette.

The bedroom features a queen-sized bed, a small wardrobe with 2 drawers on the left and a large wardrobe/nightstand with a single drawer to the right. A 28-inch LCD TV is mounted to the wall at the foot of the bed while a Heki skylight/hatch is above the bed providing light, ventilation, and a great view of the stars! (a bug screen and night shade are included…).

All lighting inside and out are LED with dimmable strip lighting. The entry door features a keyless pad with a folding four-step assembly wrapped with foot-friendly outdoor carpet. A power patio awning with dimmable LED’s provides shade and weather protection to the right side of the camper. Both slides also have toppers that provide added weather protection. The outside features an enlarged “L” shaped basement storage compartment that is 35 inches wide, 21 inches tall, 66 inches deep with a 50-inch long drawer along the LH side, and 30 inches deep on the RH side. This compartment houses the black/grey tank drain valves, all low point drains, the water pump assembly, the battery master disconnect, the slide control boxes, and the HappiJac control box. All external storage compartment doors stay open with magnetic catches and all locks are keyed alike.

A wireless rear-facing camera (color) with an in cab screen help to see the lurking Smart car in your blind spot.
