For Sale: 2001 Arctic Fox 990 Single-Slide Truck Camper ($14,300)

We are selling our 2001 Arctic Fox 990 Single-Slide Truck Camper for $14,300. The camper is in excellent condition. Built by Northwood Manufacturing, the Arctic Fox 990 features 6 feet, 7 inches of interior headroom, a massive slide-out, which creates even more interior living space, and a north-south, 58×80-inch queen-size bed. The Arctic Fox 990 is a long-bed camper and you will need a one-ton truck to haul it. The dry weight of the Arctic Fox 990 is 2,353 pounds and weighs about 4,000 pounds fully loaded.

This 2001 Arctic Fox 990 is constructed using a 2-inch thick, glued and screwed wood frame (the company switched to aluminum frames in 2005). The ceiling, floor, and walls are insulated with block foam and a carpeted ceiling that make it a true, four season truck camper. The Arctic Fox’s crowned roof sheds water to reduce the risk of leaks. The exterior fiberglass is clean and tight with no signs of delamination. Zero leaks. The Generac 36LP Plus Generator has less than 200 hours of running time.

The Arctic Fox 990 features a rear awning, a new mattress, hardwood floors, and a Dometic 6 cubic foot two-way refrigerator. We have all of the operations manuals for reference. The slide-out even features a drop-down 42×76-inch bunk for the kiddies. The camper comes with all of the options, has lived most of its life in the arid southwest, and is in excellent condition for its age. The camper is always stored on a resting platform to preserve the electric jacks.

The Arctic Fox 990 has numerous storage cabinets, including an extra-long pull-out tray that is great for stowing hoses or long items. Exterior lighting offers good lighting for getting around the camper at night. The water heats up quick with a 6 gallon DSI gas-electric water heater. The tank capacities of the Arctic Fox 990 are outstanding with 46 gallons of fresh water (including the 6 gallon water heater), 43 gallons of black water, and 39 gallons of grey—perfect for boondocking. Two vertically-mounted propane tanks provide 30 pounds of capacity.
