Ever Overland Releases First F-550 Monocoque Shell for Upfitters and DIYers

Texas-based Ever Overland, manufacturer of expedition shells, just released a new, fully composite,
vacuum-infused, one-piece monocoque shell for the Ford F-550 84-inch CA chassis truck. The brand-new Ever Overland Expedition shell provides professional upfitters and adventure enthusiasts with a blank canvas for custom overland vehicles, offering unmatched durability and design freedom.

“The Ever Expedition Shell is a beautiful marriage of form and function,” says Drew Stenken of Glampervan, who recently purchased and drove the Ever Expedition Shell from the Ever Overland factory in Fort Worth, Texas to his base of operations in Oakland, California. “I received questions and comments about it everywhere on my trip. Its aesthetic demands to be looked at. It’s a dream starting point for any build, and I can’t wait to make the inside as stunning as the exterior.”

The Ever Expedition Shell includes a custom-made 9-square-foot, four season insulated, dual-pane, tempered glass fixed skylight for ample natural light, and a 75-inch x 24-inch Euro-style door with a multi-point lock, integrated sunshade, and screen. Already planned for 2026, builders and upfitters will have the option to add window openings and Ever Overland’s in-development custom expedition all season windows.

Underneath, a custom-designed, FEA tested, four-point hybrid subframe, made from high-strength steel allows for up to 12 degrees of articulation, ensuring exceptional performance on and off road. The innovative one-piece composite shell design eliminates the need for extensive assembly, saving builders significant time and effort while ensuring a robust and high-quality foundation.

This brand-new offering makes high-design, best-in-class shells accessible to upfitters and DIY builders, empowering them to create beautiful, sophisticated, and durable expedition vehicles without the added complexities of shell fabrication.

Key Features of the brand-new Ever Expedition Shell include:

  • One-Piece Monocoque Design: A seamless, vacuum-infused composite shell provides
unmatched durability and eliminates potential water ingress points and thermal
    bridging.
  • Optimized for the Ford F-550 chassis: Specifically engineered for the Ford F-550 84-inch cab-to-axle (CA)
ensuring a perfect fit and a balanced, high-performance platform.
  • Hybrid Subframe: An FEA-tested, high-strength steel subframe that allows for up to 12
degrees of articulation, protecting the habitat from chassis flex on uneven terrain.
  • Integrated Storage Solutions: Thoughtful design includes two exterior storage hatches
and four in floor storage boxes, maximizing your ability to stow utilities, gear and
    essentials without sacrificing interior space.
  • Secure & Stylish Entry: A durable 24×72-inch Euro-style door with a multi-point lock and
    integrated sunshade.
  • Massive Skylight: A custom made 9-square-foot, four season insulated, dual-pane,
tempered glass fixed skylight provides abundant natural light while maintaining superior
    thermal performance.
  • Ready for Interior Customization: Delivered “dried-in,” mounted to the customer truck,
the shell serves as a blank canvas, ready for upfitters and DIY builders to begin their
    unique interior build-outs.
The new Ever Overland shell lists $75,000. This price includes mounting to customers’ trucks and/or delivering to chosen upfitter (or end customer).

Quantites of this brand new shell are limited. Only four shells are in production for 2025. To learn more or to reserve one, visit www.everoverland.com.
