CompoCloset, a leader in portable composting and eco-friendly toilets, just launched the CompoCloset S1, a groundbreaking portable toilet that combines convenience, sustainability, and versatility. Designed to meet the needs of adventure-seekers, off-grid residents, and emergency preparedness planners, the S1 is the world’s first sealing, dry flush toilet with an integrated urine diverter. This pioneering system reduces plastic waste and operating costs by sealing only solid waste, resulting in a cleaner, more cost-effective experience for users.
The Best Toilet for People and Planet
CompoCloset’s new brand motto, “We make the best toilets for people and planet,” is at the heart of the S1’s innovative design. With a team committed to providing value and eco-conscious solutions, CompoCloset’s S1 has been crafted to meet the highest standards of sustainability, hygiene, and ease of use. By incorporating a built-in urine diverter, the S1 addresses a significant pain point in the portable toilet market by separating liquids and solids, reducing plastic bag use, and helping users save money by “not paying to pee.”
Innovative Features for a Cleaner, Smarter Portable Toilet
The CompoCloset S1 brings together advanced features designed to improve hygiene, ease of use, and user experience:
- First-of-its-Kind Automated Bagging Mechanism: The S1’s patent-pending design combines the ‘best of both’ urine diversion and automated internal battery-powered sealer discreetly seals solid matter into your choice of a compatible eco-friendly bag, reducing odor and minimizing the need for frequent emptying.
- Urine-Diverter with LED Indicator: The intuitive urine diverter allows up to 20 liquid uses before emptying and features an LED light that alerts users when the urine container needs attention. For extended use, an optional urine drain-away kit enables longer off-grid stays and installation flexibility in tiny homes or cabins.
- Waterless and Fully Portable: Built from high-quality ABS plastic with stainless steel hinges and waterproof connectors, the S1 is as durable as it is easy to transport. The battery can power over 50 seals per charge, with each cartridge providing up to 25 “flushes.” Lightweight and featuring sturdy side handles, the S1 can be conveniently moved between locations.
- Retractable Bag Cover and Extra-Large Drop Zone: With a patent-pending retractable cover for maximum urine separation and a spacious drop zone for easy use, the S1 ensures a hygienic and mess-free experience, eliminating the “eww” factor.
Environmentally Friendly and Practical for Any Adventure
Designed to serve a wide range of use cases, the CompoCloset S1 is ideal for various scenarios, from remote camping adventures to emergency preparedness at home:
- Outdoor and Off-Grid Lifestyles: Perfect for campers, vanlifers, boat owners, and off-grid enthusiasts who need a reliable, waterless toilet solution that reduces plastic waste and saves water.
- Emergency Preparedness and Tiny Living: An invaluable tool for natural disasters, power outages, or remote cabins, the S1 provides an odor-free, easy-to-use toilet option for any setting.
- Travel and Convenience: Offering peace of mind for travelers, remote workers, and road-trippers, the S1 allows users to enjoy the freedom of a portable, private bathroom without compromising on hygiene.
Sustainable, Cost-Effective Solution
With fewer plastic bags required, thanks to the S1’s urine-diverting system and eco-friendly liners, users experience a cost-effective solution for both short and long trips. The S1’s odor-reducing features, including an optional vent, add to the convenience by allowing travelers and home users alike to enjoy a cleaner, more pleasant experience.
